The Cesarean Epidemic

I found a few wonderful websites giving information about the cesarean epidemic in the United States.  The World Health Organization says that the c-section rate should be no higher than 15%.  It is 31.8% in the United States (some states with almost 40%), causing many medical problems for mother and baby.  Many women have elective c-sections not even knowing the risks.  These sites give a LOT of information with the risks involved.

I haven't seen those before. They look like really good resources. We have a number of new ICAN chapters starting up in Alabama, so I'll forward these on to the leaders.

Have you read the blog called The Unnecesarean? It's really good, too. Here's the link. http://www.theunnecesarean.com/blog/
